If you'd have told me 2 years ago that one day I'd sit laughing in the rain I wouldn't have believed you. But that's exactly what I did on Friday.
When I started my spiritual path proper (when I discovered the Jedi community) I was an abnoxious, arrogant 15 year old boy who didn't have much of a social life outside a few select friends. I thought I was superior etc. etc. But my path has humbled me, and while I'm still not perfect, I've come an inordinately long way in a short space of time, a time that now seems like an age almost as if it was a different life as well as a different me.
And so it came that when the rain dampened my spirits on Friday I sat there drenched at the bus stop and thought to myself: "Why aren't I marvelling at the miracle of the rain?" (or thoughts to that effect if not that well worded). And I laughed out loud and I couldn't stop smiling all the way home and a long while afterwards. The Force definitely touched me that day and I will treasure that moment for ever.

Rain is really a joy. (Well, except when someone's home gets swept off it's foundations, but that's really an exception)

I've always been fascinated with rain, but I'm not exactly fond of having to work or drive in it. I remember being five and it was a rainy day, I was sitting in the living room looking out the front window and began to imagine that I was on a ship out at sea during a storm. It seemed like a cool place to be. Of course, I'd figure out a few years later that being on a ship at sea during a storm can lead to a lot of unexpected things... sliding from bow to stern on a slick deck; bruises, scrapes, and cuts from bouncing into things while the ship's being tossed side to side and front to back; vomiting over the railing and into the water (provided you're outside at the time); and a great possibility for losing items overboard.
It's good to hear that you see yourself as having progressed and that you willingly say it in a way that's not arrogant... unlike most people I meet online who say the same thing. Although, in the time that I've known you, I can't say that I've seen you as being obnoxious or arrogant.
