What does it mean to have "honor" or the be "honorable"?
To me, being honorable is much more than words or actions, it is the basis for who I am. It is adhering to moral principles, having integrity, it is showing respect to all around me (even my enemies), it is living a life free of shame and disgrace that so I may be respected and held in high esteem by others.
I bring up the subject of honor, because I believe that in order to call yourself a Jedi, you must be honorable. You treat others as equals and have the utmost respect for them, even when you have a strong dislike for them, or they have wronged you in some way. While you may never be their "friend" you still treat them with respect, because you are above the pettiness that drives you to believe that they must earn your respect. Instead, you understand that they have your respect, no matter what the situation. Even in battle, the enemy soldier should be worthy of dying with honor, and not treated as if they are nothing.
Honorable actions can not be written down in their entirety. The chance to do something honorable pops its head up everywhere that you are.

Icarus -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Someone asked me the other day how you could respect someone that is completely vile, horrible, and malicious in every sense of the word. I guess the only way is to respect the fact that the Life-Force flows through them and then you can honor that. * * * * * * * * * * Jinsei -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had a similar discussion one time about thieves and liars. Someone asked me how I could trust people like that, and my answer was, "I can trust that they'll steal from me and lie to me." * * * * * * * * * * Icarus -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I guess there's always that!
