Hi to you all. I am known as Azoth over at Unified Jedi. I hear they might be shutting down (I hope it ain't so  ) Someone there mentioned this site, so I came here and joined. I will have to have a look around and get acquainted. I love to talk about the Force. In the Star Wars universe I picked Palpatine because I like lightning and other mysteries of the Force. Lately I have been reading a lot about Nikola Tesla who is a very fascinating person who had Force sensitivities. I hope to have good conversations with you all. |

Welcome. Glad to see a familiar face. I will have to look around as well. I have been mostly reading physics. Lately I have taken a detour to read evolution stuff. I am enjoying my Carl Sagan collection. I now own all the books written by Sagan that I know of to date. I too read a good book about Nikola Tesla.

Hey there! I meant to welcome you last night, but before I got a chance I was disconnected from the internet.
It's a shame about the UJ, but life goes on. We're fairly laid back here and sometimes it takes a few days (or months) for people to reply, depending on who or what you're asking about. There aren't many rules and, thankfully, we've never had to ban anyone for arguing.
Have a look around and if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.

Thanks for the welcome. I just hope that when UJ closes everybody stays in touch. People get used to a place and feel at a loss when it goes. I guess it is that unsettling feeling when one has to suddenly change homes or apartments. It takes time to settle in and feel like new quarters is "home." Shawn ended things a bit suddenly.

I'm still playing around with the site. I was going to just put up some regular old buttons, but then I found the Star Wars smilies. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have the whole site seem dedicated to the Empire or not. I'd prefer to have Clone Troopers over there, because they were on both sides. Palpatine's there because he's using the holocommunicator, which seemed to make sense for letting people know that there's a new post where people are discussing something.
Besides, I just thought they were too cute to not try out. I'll wait to see if anyone has negative complaints about them before looking up any more options.
