Strengthening Meditation
We all have moments when we feel like we need a little extra strength to
help us get through our day. Perhaps before that big interview, or the
speech you've been preparing for weeks. Whenever you've had a stressful day
and just don't think you can go on.
A strengthening meditation can help clear away negativity, and give you that
extra boost of support and confidence that we all need at times.
Here's what you do-
Although this meditation can be dome almost anywhere, it's important that
you be seated in comfortable chair, or in a some other equally comfortable
position that you can relax in. Like any other meditation, breathing
properly is of the utmost importance. Inhale through your nose and exhale
from your mouth, taking slow, steady, relaxing breathes. Not only does this
calm and relax your body, but proper breathing techniques and a good flow of
oxygen to your body help strengthen your visualization skills.
Close your eyes. Relax.
See yourself in an open field. Walk about, feel the Earth beneath you.
Strong, supporting all things. Lay down upon Her, and envision her strength
seeping into you, growing upward and blossoming inside of you.
(Almost like a reverse grounding ritual.)
Take some of the earth in your hands, and feel it's texture. Realize how
separately it is only grain upon grain, but combined it makes up our world.
Feel that strength building in you, piece by piece.
Now look above you, see the Moon in all Her pale glory and strength.
Feel Her rays shining down upon you, adding to your strength. Feel the
gentle push of Her beams, the same beams that move the tides, and feel this
powerful strength and stability in yourself.
Now envision all the combined strength and energy of the Moon and the
Earth that you have absorbed. See it as a swirling white light about you,
wrapping you in a sphere-like cocoon. Feel the pureness of the strength, and
know that no weakness or negativity can exist within this protecting barrier
of pureness.
Now, continuing your breathing, imagine all the negativity, doubts, fears,
and weaknesses leaving your body with each exhaled breathe. This negativity
will appear as a grey or black smoke, depending upon how much of it there
is. This smoke will instantly be purified by the white energy around you as
soon as they come in contact with each other.
Continue to breath, inhaling the pure light, and exhaling the negativity
until there is none left. When you are only breathing the pure energy in and
out, gradually absorb the entire sphere of energy into yourself.
Count to ten, and open your eyes.
You now have all the strength you need within yourself to face the world!
